Parking Request
If your parking request is tied to a Mazevo Room Reservation, please use the "Resources" available through Mazevo to request parking reservations instead of this form.
THIS FORM MUST BE SUBMITTED AT LEAST TWO WEEKS BEFORE AN EVENT IS TO BEGIN. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN NO PARKING BEING RESERVED FOR THE EVENT!
The University Police Department manages the requests from our campus community for reserving parking spaces for off campus visitors attending events. If you need to reserve parking for an event, please fill out this form and submit it to UNA Police. Reserved parking is assigned on a first come, first served basis. If approved, the requested spaces will be reserved, using barricades, traffic cones and/or caution tape. These are typically placed out in the spaces the night before your event. Holders of UNA parking passes are prohibited from using spaces reserved specifically for events, and may be cited if they are parked in prohibited areas (UNA Parking Services Manual, Section 2A-1. Parking Services Manual )
Due to the hardship on students, staff and faculty, unless exigent circumstances exist, no parking will be reserved for an event starting after 3:00 pm. This also applies for events on weekends or when the University is closed. The event will have to use available parking.
Departments are encouraged to use their own personnel and/or student workers to monitor reserved parking during their events. Unfortunately, some individuals will encroach upon reserved spaces, leaving your guests with nowhere to park. If the University Police coordinates and provides manpower to monitor spaces (at YOUR request), there will be a labor charge of $30/hr. (for a 4-hour minimum) for monitoring the spaces. The number of persons monitoring spaces is determined by the number of spaces requested. One person will be provided for every 25 spaces requested. The requesting department will receive a budget-transfer request within 30 days after event and payment will be expected two weeks after receipt.
