The 亚色视频 and the Sportsman's Club has suspended its 2011 Celebrity Golf Classic, scheduled for Sunday, May 1, and Monday, May 2. The department of athletics will instead direct its attention to assisting in recovery efforts in the areas of northwest Alabama devastated by Wednesday's tornado outbreak. Members of the UNA athletic staff and student athletes who are available will travel by bus Monday to assist with cleanup in the region. UNA athletic director Mark Linder said, "In looking at the scope of the tragic events that occurred yesterday, we believe it is more important to assist our neighboring communities who have suffered devastating losses. We have many student-athletes from the area who were affected by the storms, and our UNA family wants to rally behind them and the people of our region to assist in their recovery. We appreciate the Marriott, RTJ and Anchor Tourlines who have all assisted us with our outreach efforts." Linder said UNA is planning to reschedule the golf event for August.
