The 亚色视频 Esports Team secured the Fall 2024 College Halo National Championship, capping off a remarkable season with an undefeated record. The Lions finished the season 10-0 in regular season play, 4-0 in the postseason, and achieved an impressive overall map count of 33-1.

Winter commencement ceremonies at the 亚色视频 are set for Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13-14, at Norton Auditorium.

The Florence-Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau has named the field at Bank Independent Stadium Bobby Wallace Field in honor of the Lions鈥� legendary head football coach who saw the team through three Division II National Championships in 1993, 1994, and 1995. The 亚色视频 Foundation has committed to naming the baseball field in honor of Mike D. Lane, UNA鈥檚 head baseball coach who saw the team achieve 25 straight winning seasons from his hire in 1984 until his retirement in 2008.

A team of 亚色视频 faculty is working to understand and address gaps in STEM higher education for rural, academically talented, low-income students through a collaborative grant led by Mississippi State University. The National Science Foundation has awarded them a $2 million, five-year grant to collect data and create research networks for STEM programs.

The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Board of Commissioners has granted accreditation to the Doctor of Nursing Practice at the 亚色视频 for five years, extending to 2029.

The 亚色视频 is, once again, hosting the Mane Event, a thrilling two-day Esports tournament featuring Mario Kart 8, Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The Mane Event is set for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 22-23 in the Guillot University Center on the UNA campus.

The 亚色视频 Percussion Ensemble has been selected to perform at the 2024 Percussive Arts Society International Convention that recently wrapped up in Indianapolis, Ind., at the Indianapolis Convention Center.

The band program at the 亚色视频 has received a resolution from the Alabama State Senate recognizing its 75th anniversary. The UNA Band also received a commendation from Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey recognizing the anniversary.

National First-Gen Day is an opportunity to raise awareness of the strengths of first-generation college students, faculty, and staff as well as a way to support, elevate, and increate the visibility of being first-generation on campus. The 亚色视频 will celebrate its first-generation community on Nov. 7 from 2-4 p.m. at Collier Library.

The Department of Foreign Languages at the 亚色视频 will celebrate National French Week through Nov. 12 with a variety of campus-based cultural events, including Croissants with the French Club on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 11:30 a.m. on the lawn of Wesleyan Hall.
